Memphis International Airport Transfers
Memphis International Airport is one of five airports serving the state of Tennessee in the US. It is the primary air transport gateway for this southern city of 650,000 people. With over 5 million Memphis visitors transiting through MEM annually, it is one of the busiest airports in the country.
MEM is also modernizing and consolidating its retail and airline operations.
Under this plan, it will consolidate the operations with the same ticketing area to allow comfortable access by aircraft to the entire Concourse B, which is the largest passenger terminal at MEM with 23 gates.
The multi-million dollar expansion project includes additional walkways, corridors, larger boarding areas, higher ceilings, and provisions for better natural lighting for the interior spaces.
Once completed, it will have spaces for children to play, a venue for live music performance, lounge areas, and several mobile phone charging stations.
The airport has two other terminals for checking in and two concourses for boarding—A and C, with 9 gates and 18 gates, respectively.
MEM covers 3,900 acres and served about 5 million passengers in 2019. It has direct flights to more than 100 locations within the United States.
Flights from United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Connection, Southern Airways Express, and Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines arrive and leave this facility regularly.
